Neuhaus unveils its first vegan praline within its iconic Irrésistibles collection

Brussels, 27 April 2026 – Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, unveils Sensation, the first vegan praline to join its iconic Irrésistibles collection. With its vibrant notes of kalamansi, this new creation brings a contemporary, plant-based expression to one of the brand’s most recognisable assortments.

For many, Neuhaus is synonymous with its signature triangular Irrésistibles, crafted from a delicately folded nougatine biscuit, hand-filled and enrobed with chocolate. With Sensation, this timeless icon is reinterpreted for a new generation of chocolate lovers, without compromising on craftsmanship or flavour.

Challenge

“The introduction of Sensation marks a symbolic milestone for Neuhaus,” says Barbara Billiet, Marketing Director at Neuhaus. “Following the successful launch of our vegan collection in 2024, which continues to resonate strongly with consumers, we wanted to take this further by bringing a vegan creation into our most iconic Irrésistibles assortment. Reinterpreting one of our most emblematic pralines into a vegan version was a true challenge for our chocolatiers. From texture to taste, every detail had to meet our high quality standards."

As the tenth praline to join this emblematic family, Sensation completes the collection with a contemporary, plant-based expression. In doing so, Neuhaus embraces innovation while remaining deeply rooted in its tradition of refined praline making.

A vibrant new taste experience

At the heart of this new praline lies a delicate balans of textures and flavours. A crunchy nougatine, coated in rich Belgian dark chocolate, reveals a smooth vegan dark chocolate ganache, its depth lifted by the bright citrus notes of kalamansi, bringing freshness and vibrancy to this sophisticated creation.

A luminous summer edition

To mark the arrival of Sensation, Neuhaus also introduces Summer Irrésistibles, a limited- edition gift box bringing together two citrus flavours perfectly suited for summer.

This refined selection brings together two icons of the Irrésistibles collection: Sensation, the new vegan creation with bright kalamansi notes, and Frisson, a beloved classic infused with lively yuzu. Together, they create a radiant harmony of citrus freshness and rich chocolate: a pairing that feels both seasonal and timeless.

Designed as a tribute to summer, the collection combines crisp textures, delicate sweetness and refreshing citrus flavours. The vibrant packaging, inspired by kalamansi and yuzu, evokes sunlit moments and carefree summer indulgence.

About NEUHAUS

From its origins as a pharmacist to its present calling as a chocolatier, Neuhaus has always put caring for others and ensuring their wellbeing first. The family opened its first Neuhaus boutique in 1857 in the famous Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. To the delight of his customers, Jean Neuhaus cased his medicines in a thin layer of chocolate. In 1912, his grandson went one step further transforming this concept into the Belgian praline as we know it today, replacing the medicine in the chocolate casing with a delicious filling.

Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, continues to pursue its goal of demonstrating its leadership qualities in the chocolate market by encouraging innovation and creating exciting new products with only natural ingredients.

Neuhaus and Belgium have been inextricably linked for more than 160 years - ever since our founder Jean Neuhaus opened his first boutique in the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. Our pralines and truffles have always been crafted with consideration and respect in Belgium and we are firmly committed to upholding this tradition.
