Neuhaus and Christian Wijnants unite Belgian chocolate and fashion

Neuhaus, inventor of the Belgian praline, joins forces with Belgian fashion designer Christian Wijnants for Les Nuances: an exclusive collection bringing together two expressions of Belgian craftsmanship. The collaboration combines the savoir-faire of Neuhaus’ Maîtres Chocolatiers with Wijnants’ distinctive approach to texture, layering and design.
The creative dialogue took shape around Christian Wijnants’ Pre-Fall 2026 collection, characterised by clean lines, layered fabrics and natural materials. Presented in gift boxes designed by Christian Wijnants and complemented by an exclusive limited edition silk scarf, Les Nuances becomes a unique gifting experience.
Its interplay of textures and compositions resonated with the savoir-faire of the Neuhaus Maîtres Chocolatiers, who translated these contrasts into chocolate through layers of flavour and texture. The result is a collection of five praline creations, built around layers of Belgian chocolate, contrasting textures and refined flavours.
When Belgian chocolate meets Antwerp fashion
Based in Antwerp, Christian Wijnants is an internationally recognised Belgian fashion designer known for his innovative knitwear, distinctive prints and rich use of colour. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, he launched his eponymous label in 2003 and has since received several prestigious international awards.

The collaboration with Neuhaus grew from a natural recognition between both worlds. Wijnants has been a chocolate lover from an early age and shares a longstanding personal connection with Neuhaus. At the same time, both Neuhaus and Christian Wijnants share a deep respect for craftsmanship and the quality of the materials at the origin of every creation.
Layers of texture, crafted for taste
For Les Nuances, the Neuhaus Maîtres Chocolatiers approached the praline in an unconventional way. Each creation combines carefully composed layers of Belgian chocolate and fillings, allowing different textures and flavours to reveal themselves throughout the tasting experience.
Smooth chocolate meets textured centres, creamy fillings contrast with delicate crunches, while the flavour palette moves from nutty and caramelised to vibrant and citrusy.
The layered construction is also deliberately visible. To achieve its exceptionally precise finish, the Maîtres Chocolatiers use an innovative waterjet cutting technique comparable to the technology used to cut marble. Because no pressure is applied to the praline during cutting, its individual layers and textures remain perfectly intact. The result is an exceptionally clean cut that reveals the structure of each creation at first glance.

Five nuances of flavour
Nuance Pistachio
Two layers of Neuhaus milk chocolate surround a heart of pistachio praliné with delicate pieces of kadaïf, creating a refined balance between smoothness and crunch.
Inspired by one of Christian Wijnants’ designs as well as his appreciation for pistachio and chocolate, this praline marked the starting point of the collaboration and was already launched ahead of the full collection. What began as an exploration of layers and textures subsequently developed into a complete Les Nuances assortment.
Nuance Pecan & Raspberry
White and dark chocolate meet a pecan praliné centre enriched with caramelised pecan pieces and subtle raspberry notes. Nutty depth is balanced by a fresh, fruity contrast, reflecting Wijnants’ own appreciation for both nutty and fruity flavour profiles.
Nuance Coffee
Layers of white and dark chocolate surround a hazelnut gianduja filling infused with ristretto coffee. Rich yet balanced, the praline combines a smooth texture with an intense coffee finish.
Nuance Pomelo
White and dark chocolate are combined with an almond praliné centre, notes of pomelo and lemon, and delicate pieces of caramelised almond. The result is refreshing and subtly zesty, with a delicate crunch.
Nuance Caramel
Caramel-flavoured milk chocolate and dark chocolate are paired with a centre of roasted hazelnuts, white chocolate and pieces of salted caramel, creating an indulgent balance of sweetness and crunch.
A gift box designed as part of the collection
The collaboration extends beyond the pralines themselves. Christian Wijnants also designed the Les Nuances gift boxes, drawing directly from his Pre-Fall 2026 collection and the visual language of the pralines. Inspired by one of his colourblock outfits as well as the distinctive three-layer composition of the creations, the packaging brings together colour, texture and graphic structure in a tactile design. The box itself features a special texture that, much like Wijnants’ garments, invites touch, while its shiny dark brown top evokes the impression of being dipped in chocolate. In this way, the gift box becomes an integral part of the creative concept and a true collectible.

Inside, the pralines are arranged in a distinctive staggered composition. The presentation immediately reveals their different layers and textures. From the moment the box is opened, the arrangement creates an almost graphic composition, reinforcing the dialogue between Wijnants’ design language and the craftsmanship of the Neuhaus Maîtres Chocolatiers.
An exclusive silk scarf for Neuhaus
As a further extension of the collaboration, Christian Wijnants has designed an exclusive silk scarf for Neuhaus. Inspired by Les Nuances and the savoir-faire of the Neuhaus Maîtres Chocolatiers, the limited edition creation gives lovers of Neuhaus chocolate the opportunity to experience another expression of Wijnants’ craftsmanship. Its colours, textures and layered compositions echo the visual universe of the collection.
The scarf is available exclusively at Neuhaus and can only be purchased in combination with a Les Nuances gift box. Presented in its own dedicated box designed by Christian Wijnants, it becomes a collectible piece completes the gifting experience.
