Timeless appeal, irresistible taste: discover Neuhaus’ Icon Collection

Imagine this — it’s 1958. Soon, the World’s Fair will take place in Brussels, and the whole world will gather there to marvel at the latest innovations. Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, can’t let this historic event go by unnoticed. In honour of Expo 58, Neuhaus introduced two all-new pralines, aptly named the Irrésistibles. In no time, these Irrésistibles would prove not only irresistible, but absolutely iconic.

For generations, Neuhaus has pushed the boundaries of what makes a praline truly iconic. And while the Irrésistibles are still wildly popular today, Neuhaus’ Maîtres Chocolatiers have never stopped innovating. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Irrésistibles and Expo 58, Neuhaus is releasing two brand-new flavour combinations. You’ll soon be able to discover them in the already legendary Icon Collection Box, which unites yesterday's and tomorrow's icons.

Two icons, two fresh new flavours

First and foremost, the Icon Collection Box features the classics. The iconic Caprice consists of an artisanal nougatine, hand-filled with silky Madagascar vanilla and fresh cream, and topped with Belgian dark chocolate. Désir, too, is made with a decadent dark chocolate and filled with a rich chocolate ganache from Peru (64% cocoa). Lovers of creamy milk chocolate might instead consider Tentation, artisanally filled with an Arabica coffee ganache, or Plaisir, bursting with a ganache of Piedmont hazelnuts. Crazy about white chocolate? Then Émotion is exactly what you're looking for: An artisanal nougatine biscuit filled with an intense coffee ganache and covered in smooth white chocolate. This irresistible treat offers an absolutely perfect balance of flavours.

On top of that, you’ll find the two new flavour combinations, which herald the next generation of iconic chocolates. These include the limited-edition Frisson, a crispy nougatine biscuit hand-filled with a white chocolate and yuzu ganache, coated in dark chocolate, and sprinkled with biscuit crumble. Then there’s the limited-edition Folie, a delicacy filled with a hazelnut ganache, crunchy popcorn, and a sprinkling of caramelised hazelnut crumbs, which will make chocolate lovers crackle with delight.

Absolutely Irrésistible: the artisanal nougatine

The secret lies in the unmistakable crunch, which turns every bite into a delight. Neuhaus’ Maîtres Chocolatiers still prepare their nougatines the traditional way. Sugar is melted slowly in copper kettles, then baked golden in the oven. Delicious, high-quality ingredients, crafted with love and skill — that’s what makes for the unique, unrivalled flavours we’ve known and loved for generations now.

Two generations of icons in one box

The Icon Collection Box unites the timeless and wildly successful Irrésistibles with two innovative, exceptional flavour combinations, delivering a true celebration of taste. Rightly so, because the 65th anniversary of the iconic Irrésistibles calls for a fingerlicking tribute. The Icon Collection gift box is the ideal end-of-year gift for connoisseurs, foodies and chocolate lovers young and old.

About NEUHAUS

From its origins as a pharmacist to its present calling as a chocolatier, Neuhaus has always put caring for others and ensuring their wellbeing first. The family opened its first Neuhaus boutique in 1857 in the famous Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. To the delight of his customers, Jean Neuhaus cased his medicines in a thin layer of chocolate. In 1912, his grandson went one step further transforming this concept into the Belgian praline as we know it today, replacing the medicine in the chocolate casing with a delicious filling.

Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, continues to pursue its goal of demonstrating its leadership qualities in the chocolate market by encouraging innovation and creating exciting new products with only natural ingredients.

Neuhaus and Belgium have been inextricably linked for more than 160 years - ever since our founder Jean Neuhaus opened his first boutique in the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. Our pralines and truffles have always been crafted with consideration and respect in Belgium and we are firmly committed to upholding this tradition.
