Neuhaus announces a unique gastronomic collaboration for Valentine’s Day

A Symphony of Love between Michelin-starred chef Thierry Theys and his wife result in three unique chocolates

For Valentine’s Day 2026, Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, celebrates love through the craftsmanship of Belgian gastronomy. In a unique collaboration, the Maîtres Chocolatiers of Neuhaus join forces with Belgian chef Thierry Theys and Sofie Willemarck, his wife and restaurant manager at the acclaimed two-Michelin-starred restaurant Nuance. Together, they translate their shared passion for flavour, craftsmanship and emotion into an exclusive chocolate collection.

Working with a chef couple driven by precision and emotion, Neuhaus transforms culinary artistry into chocolate craftsmanship.

At the heart of the collection lies the Limited Edition Love Letter Box - A Symphony of Love. Inspired by their own relationship, Thierry and Sofie created three chocolate hearts as a personal exchange, each making one for the other before joining their talents in a shared creation.

A Symphony of Love

The Love Letter Box features three heart-shaped chocolates, each conceived as a personal gesture.

Two of the hearts were created in secret. Thierry designed an intense dark chocolate heart for Sofie, while Sofie imagined a softer milk chocolate heart for Thierry. Finally, the couple joined forces to compose a third heart, symbolising their symphony of love & taste.

  • Dark Chocolate Heart – Speculoos, Hazelnut Praliné & Mandarin Ganache  (Designed by Thierry Theys)

An intense dark chocolate heart combining crisp speculoos and hazelnut praliné with a bright mandarin ganache, a refined interpretation of iconic Belgian flavours.

  • Milk Chocolate Heart – Salted Butter Caramel & Roasted Almond Praliné (Designed by Sofie Willemarck)

A smooth milk chocolate heart filled with flowing salted butter caramel and roasted almond praliné, offering warmth, comfort and subtle crunch.

  • Red-Coloured White Chocolate Heart – Raspberry, Pecan & Vanilla with a Hint of Chilli (Designed by Sophie and Thierry)

A vibrant heart where raspberry ganache meets a delicate touch of chilli, layered over a pecan and vanilla biscuit praliné. A bold yet balanced final movement.

Together, these three chocolates form a refined expression of love, where flavour, texture and emotion are carefully composed.

A Love Letter written in chocolate

Presented in an elegant box inspired by a folded love letter, the Love Letter Box transforms Valentine’s gifting into a poetic, multisensory experience. Interlocking front panels come together to form a heart, echoing the idea that love is created when two individuals meet.

A new expression of Valentine gifting

Alongside the limited edition, Neuhaus introduces a redesigned assortment of Valentine Heart Boxes. These elegant gift boxes feature a contemporary motif built around overlapping shapes, symbolising two distinct personalities coming together to form something new.

With refined lines, soft curves and a balanced palette, the collection offers a timeless interpretation of love. Each box is filled with a curated selection of iconic Neuhaus pralines, making it a meaningful gesture for partners, friends or loved ones.

About NEUHAUS

From its origins as a pharmacist to its present calling as a chocolatier, Neuhaus has always put caring for others and ensuring their wellbeing first. The family opened its first Neuhaus boutique in 1857 in the famous Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. To the delight of his customers, Jean Neuhaus cased his medicines in a thin layer of chocolate. In 1912, his grandson went one step further transforming this concept into the Belgian praline as we know it today, replacing the medicine in the chocolate casing with a delicious filling.

Neuhaus, the inventor of the Belgian praline, continues to pursue its goal of demonstrating its leadership qualities in the chocolate market by encouraging innovation and creating exciting new products with only natural ingredients.

Neuhaus and Belgium have been inextricably linked for more than 160 years - ever since our founder Jean Neuhaus opened his first boutique in the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. Our pralines and truffles have always been crafted with consideration and respect in Belgium and we are firmly committed to upholding this tradition.
